Her Tribe is a reflection of my journey — seeking community, real connections, and reimagining how we network and celebrate our achievements as women. What started in 2019 as an idea for a fun mixer has grown into a vibrant community of sisterhood. I’m Salimah Abdul-Hakim, affectionately known as Chef Soleil, and I’m the founder and creative director of Her Tribe Group. My successes are fueled not just by ambitions, drive and determination, but by a supportive tribe of women who inspire, challenge, and support me.

Building genuine relationships throughout life has been a true blessing and key to my growth. I've witnessed firsthand the benefits of surrounding yourself with people who support you, lift you when life gets tough, advocate for you in spaces you haven’t yet reached, and give honest feedback. Be ready to do the same for them, too. That’s why Her Tribe means so much to me.
